Those attending will receive Pest Management Professionals information that will allow them to issue Official South Carolina Wood Infestation Reports that adhere to the requirements set forth in Section 27-1085 (K) of the Rules and Regulations for the enforcement of the South Carolina Pesticide Control Act.

Attendees will be administered an optional set of questions which will include properly completing the CL-100.

All attendees achieving a 70% grade on the final exam will receive a certificate of completion for the Clemson University Cooperative Extension Service.

The Master Pest Control Technician (MPCT) course was created for the general pest con-trol technician, sanitarian, and in-house pest control professional for schools, industrial sites, and residences.

The course provides practical instruction about household and perimeter pest man-agement for professional technicians.

The MPCT course will provide face-to-face lectures and hands-on laboratory exercises including insect identification, insect collect-ing, introduction to application technology and inspection procedures.

Online Verifiable Training -- SIGN UP TODAY

TechTrainingAs you know, uncertified technicians working in South Carolina are required to carry ID cards signifying successful completion of the training program. This process has been accomplished through your administration of the training and testing utilizing a printed study guide and workbook at your office location.

The online study and testing procedure is fully explained on the site and, after completion, a downloadable ID card with a designated ID number will be available to print. The new online training will allow the technician to access their tests from any computer and will allow them to log off and log in at their convenience. Upon completion, the test result will automatically transmit to the S.C. Department of Pesticide Regulation, relieving you of the necessity to register the technician with regulatory.

The cost for the online training is as follows:
• $50.00 for SCPCA members
• $75.00 for non members
Payment can be easily made on the website via major credit card.

The printed version is also still available. The cost is as follows:
• $75.00 for SCPCA members
• $100.00 for non members
This cost includes both the study guide.
